Romney Sweeps - Let the General Election Begin. Mitt Romney's victories last night in Wisconsin, Maryland and Washington DC signal the end of the primary campaign for the Republicans and the beginning of the Romney vs. Obama general election campaign. Rick Santorum is pretty much out of chances -- he'll have a lot of pressure to get out of the race rather than fight on through his home state of Pennsylvania on April 24th. Santorum risks losing his home state, which could erode the better-than-anyone-could-have-expected campaign he's run in 2012.
President Obama, too, is in campaign mode -- delivering a tough indictment of the Republicans budget plan as a "Trojan Horse" that would deepen inequality in America. And he's trying to tie Mitt Romney to it. It's clear that the Obama campaign sees Romney - a one percenter - as the walking, talking embodiment of the GOP's help-the-rich and hurt-the-poor policies. And for once, the Republicans aren't hiding what they plan to do.

TYhe first thing Romney said in his victory speec h last night was to mention" Out of touch loiberals like Barock Obama. He can't even bring himself to respectfully call opur President by his title President Obama and as for being out of touch Romney takes the cake . He's a heartless dork who cannot relate to your average American and has a bad case of foot in the mouth. He would make a terrible President and a President to the rich only. He has a carpetbagging history and will say anything and flipflop on command. He's a jerk without a soul. That said he's still better than the Republican brand which has been shot up with hate , prejudice and stinginess. Bush and the tea partiers have ruined the country. Prison for Bush and oust the tea partiers is the solution
You know "doncardoza" Bush should of been indicted, the repub's impeach Clinton over a blowjob, and even though all the illegal B.S. did, the democrats still did not have balls to do anything about it!
This is why repub's win presidential elections!
You are both right, and to think Robme is making a point of making this election about liberty and freedom. Well we have that already but the top 15% have the financial freedom and are not economically persecuted by anyone. All policies protect their wealth and their children's wealth. If they win, our children will be paying for their excesses and the policies to keep people poor will be enhanced by the Ryan Plan.
Hey Romney: How about going back in time and make restitution to all those who lost their jobs when you bankrupt all those companies just to line your pockets and the pockets of the stock holders.
They how about promising that you will raise the minimum wage to $20 per hour so all salaries will go up to a living wage. We need freedom, but is financial freedom what we need the most now. Who can live for less than $20 per hour anywhere in the US.
"A world where the excesses of the wealthy few is not paid by the toil and suffering of the many poor"
Lady Jane
I would like to see a fair division of profits between capital and labor so that the toiler could save enough to mingle a little June with the December of his life. Robert Green Ingersoll
Alfrommi:
A fair living wage makes more sense, I agree, but conservatives do not. They want no minimum wage. Exploitation is a good thing to them!
Most labor will take up where the sun don't shine, as long as you give them a good sound-bite, especially red-state workers, they rather win some argument (base root in the South being right all along) and believe the B.S. why they should be paid less, it's sorry I know, but all stat's point to this!
This is mainly why if you work for temp firm, they charge you out about $20-25 dollars an hour, and yet worker will work for $10. per hour! It's sick!
The only trouble with Mitt Romney is he had this idea he's the only one who can be RIGHT...I cant remember any issue where him and Obama differed,except"RIGHT-TO-WORK",but he just convinced himself he is right about everything and the President wrong about ANYTHING.@
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed."
-- U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, Nov. 21, 1864

Afrommi, Ok, but what's your point, Eisenhower had same warnings too! The point is that Labor don't care because they take it anyway.
Ricky6876: I think labor has taken it just as everybody before, the jobs used to pay good, and there were paid vacations, paid holidays and sick days, and there were unions who fought for those and negotiated. Stock holders were still part of the 30% who were still at least three times wealthier that the labor. But at this time I do not think that labor will take it anymore.
What happens when 75% to 85% of the population has nothing to lose? What happens when the majority in a nation is dissatisfied? Right now most of the working poor does not have access to all the information that will helps them see the reason and cause of their situation. But when people who cannot see the wrong and keep quiet, on moral reasons alone, they will have to disseminate this information. Thing do not stay the same.
Of course, there is always the hope that the industry will see the wrong of their ways and correct it, but greed and the hunger for wealth and power is much greater than the desire of doing what is right for goodness sake.
The greedy does not do anything out of the goodness of his heart, because there may be no goodness in in. But, lets hope there is. A lot of blood shed can be averted just by the insight of those who change from being greedy to being benevolent with those who work hard for less.
Ricky, since you know what is happening are you inclined to tell those who do not have cable or internet what has been going on?
If we do not stand in favor of the oppressed we are giving power to the oppressor.
