I fear, I really do, the evil influence of big, bad money in politics.
Democracy isn't a joke. It shouldn't be, anyway. And when a few guys with billions of dollars or influence with big money people can throw enormous amounts of money into a political race, they can destroy democracy.
Yes, they can. Just think about what a dump of a million dollars in TV advertising, really nasty stuff, can do to a race for Congress somewhere. All of a sudden, the airwaves are saturated with negative TV ads. They're all over the place, on Entertainment Tonight, on sports, wherever you go. You can't escape the relentless, nasty assault on some candidate.
Think this doesn't matter? Good luck. We saw what Willy Horton did to one Democratic candidate for President, saw what swiftboating did to another. Just imagine someone out there saying what a bad person you are, telling everyone you know what a bad person you are. Okay, now imagine someone spending tens of millions of dollars buying TV time to say what an evil SOB you are!
Don't think that'll change some opinions about you? Think again. Not everybody pays attention to politics like the people who watch this show. Some hardworking people just have time to check in around election time. What do they see on TV? Endless streams of bad news about some guy they once thought was okay, but now can't hear a good word about him or her. Just this endless spew of negativity...
I don't know how we're going to live with this stuff and still call ourselves a democracy. I don't know when the Supreme Court is going to look again at the monster they've created in Citizens United and kill it befores it destroys the very democracy on which the Congress, the presidency and, yes, the courts, now precariously rest.

The right wings answer to all of their sins is always George Soros. The Dems have one guy giving them money for every 20 the republicans have and we don't know who half of those are on the republican side. There have been two anonymous $10,000,000 donations to Romneys SuperPac. Who were/was that? Arguably it could have been Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the President of Iran. Why? Well Reagan/Bush I gave Iran arms, planes, tanks etc in Iran/ Contra, then Bush I attacked Irans number 1 enemy Iraq nearly destroying them and of course Bush II finished Iraq off. Clearly the Republican Party have been Irans best friend in the world.
This is why secret anonymous donations are so evil and why the Republican Supreme Court Judges made them legal.
It is going to be very interesting to see if all this extra secret money will make a difference along with the attempted voter suppression, but I suspect that the American people have had it with negativity and corruption and are ready to vote out these right wing extremists. I don't think they're buying the bogus argument the media is trying to sell them that there are left wing extremists in the form of the Dems either. Most Americans realize the Dems have moved right of center and just because they're liberal compared to Limbaugh and Hannity doesn't make them Liberal because Ronald Reagan himself would be a flaming Liberal under that definition.

I don't understand why Mitt Romney isn't in jail. I do understand why he moved money to Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.

The limbic system is responsible for consciousness. It is responsible for emotions. The sleep pattern is activated when this area is damaged. Coma is caused by the kind of blunt force trauma that damages the limbic system.
The limbic system is responsible for emotions and Romney appears to have no emotions, which might have something to do with brain damage from the auto accident.
People with limbic system damage are frequently involved in criminal activity.
Limbic system damage can eliminate the kinds of restraints that give us our moral and ethical judgement that would otherwise prevent us from harming others.
A significant amount of Mitt Romney's money has been extracted from elderly workers that put money into private funds. This is for retirement, and provides the means to obtain interest-free student loans from parents.
Bain typically uses pension funds as collateral to obtain impractically large loans after taking control of a company. These loan proceeds are siphoned off as "profit" or "consulting fees" instead of being used for legitimate work, like factory improvement or other kinds of things that would make the company profitable enough to pay back the loan. The company is then bankrupted and enough employees are fired to free up enough pension funds to make the company solvent after the loan proceeds are moved to Bain/Romney.
The loan proceeds that are siphoned off from retirement funds by Bain (Romney) are guaranteed by federal tax revenue through the social security system.
The bankruptcy investigation process within Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PBGC) has been controlled by a former Bain employee since the late 1990s when Bain began making enormous profit very quickly.
The PBGC is responsible for transitioning indigent retirees to social security after their retirement funds have been confiscated.
A former Bain employee that worked for Mitt Romney is in charge of investigating retirement fund irregularities during the bankruptcy process.
This is a clear conflict of interest that corrupts the integrity of federal bankruptcy system.
Bain, and companies that consult with Bain, can bypass the bankruptcy investigation process in order to steal retirement funds that will ultimately be paid by taxpayers.
Bain is currently in the process of extracting money from the $8 billion American Airlines retirement fund.
Look, I'm the last guy to be defending Mitt Romney, but the woman's death in the automobile accident was a tragedy for which he was blameless and nothing else.
Romney was driving the vehicle accompanied by the wife of the president of the French LDS Mission. She was killed; Romney wound up in a coma, and there were others in the car as well. The priest driving the Mercedes was reported to be intoxicated by some witnesses but no charges were pressed.
Mitt's advisers, both Mormon and non-Mormon, will eat this stuff up when it's inaccurate; trust me, I've been debating them for 45 years now, and they play the "persecution" game with gusto, using strawmen, ad hominems, and cherry-picking tactics as well as outright lies when they think they can get away with them.

I don't get that Crackhead Awards (thanks for the layout, CA) is saying Romney as driver caused the death as much as Romney's brain may have been damaged from that auto accident. This info from CA is the kind of detail that needs to be brought out as facts of the matter to support one claim or repudiate another. That is the substantive content of debate
