Hey 'the righty', don't be an idiot. No wait, being an idiot is probably something you can't do anything about? Try this instead, please don't be a dishonest idiot. The bit you are quoting is a Rebublican't re-edited portion what Obama actually said. Anyone not already brain dead knows that. I suggest you avoid proving stupidity. Rather, take a moment and read the entire quote.
Exactly Mick,
The President didn't say, "If you own a business, you didn't build it."
What he said was "If you own a business, you didn't build that." He was referring back to the "Incredible American system" in his previous sentence. It's moronic to suggest otherwise.
if building stuff like that--including the Internet--amounts to "big government," then we need the kind of innovation it has produced. From the Transcontinental Railroad (Abraham Lincoln visualized that one) to the Pure Food and Drug Act to the Interstate Highway System to NASA and the Space Program, including the Hubble Telescope...
Cabbie's history class adjourned...
And 'the righty'? Following my suggestion above won't cure stupidity but at least you'll be able to continue fooling your friends.
This is the problem with guys like 'the whitey' and the whole Republican base. They choose candidates who are wholly unqualified to be President. Who claim outright that they wish to institute proven failed policies and policies that the overwhelming majority of economists know to be scams, as well as refuse to institute policies that the overwhelming majority of scientists recommend based on decades of scientific research and consensus.
They truly are the flat earth party, the party of myth and magic, of fairies and unicorns and of course the party of magic under wear.
Remember the qualification, just be able to hold a pen and sign what Norquist wants signed!
