Busting Out Bill
Bill Clinton will have a major role at the Democratic convention in Charlotte as the Obama campaign pulls out its big guns.
The New York Times picks up on something we've talked a lot about: the Obama campaign's big gamble in going negative.
Looking for daylight: In an attempt to show some distinction between himself and the President on foreign policy, Mitt Romney has adopted Israel's hardline stance on Iran.
He's back...
Dick Cheney is blasting away at President Obama, but he also has this sugarplum about the choice of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate.
Newt Gingrich writes about why he supports Michele Bachmann and her call for an investigation into the Muslim Brotherhood's role in U.S. government.
Remember: You can watch Hardball tonight at 7 eastern on MSNBC!

Willard Romney has taken a hardline stance on Iran? What a shock! Could it be because he took several deferments to avoid the Viet Nam war even fleeing to France for three and a half years living in a mansion with servants and now feels guilty? Now that doesn't feel like something an armchair coward would do. Then again we've have a lot of armchair cowards from the Republican side who pretend to be hardcore hawks.
No, we all know exactly what this is about. It's Citizens United and Sheldon Adelson's hundreds of thousands of dollars of donations. The right wing jurists who keep claiming those huge corporate and millionaire/billionaire donations won't affect policy are ether lying or incredibly naive. Either way dishonest or naive jurists on the Supreme Court are extremely distressing to say the least and extraordinarily dangerous for our country. For this reason alone we should make sure that the Republican majority of the last thirty years comes to an end. Their thirty years has corrupted our system and dropped the American world ratings from the top 3 in every category to the lower twenties in every category. That is unacceptable. The Republican thirty year reign has been mired by corruption and it must be changed if we are to survive as a nation.
Did Romney make a copy of what Pres.Obama has been saying about Iran?Mr.draft dodger ca'nt figure out something to say for himself so he parrot's the Pres.Did he also tell the people that he is severely jewish and the synagogues are just the right size?Or maybe he said he drives a Yamica pickup and his wife drives a couple of Matza's.This guy is a severe idiot and is of the same mold as Sarah Palin.Electing him would be as bad as electing her, maybe worse.
The righties are on the Clinton announcement hard, claiming the Obama campaign is desperate, out of ideas. Whatever. I'd call it putting your best team on the floor when the game is on the line. I think this makes them very nervous, even a little scared. They say Bill Clinton is a non-issue because he practically endorsed Romney when he said he had a sterling business record, and met the threshold for the Presidency. That's irrelevant, in my point of view, but they cang cling to it for a while. Bill Clinton will do a lot of good for President Obama.
Another reason for Republican concern lies in the possibility that Clinton's desire to be involved could be confirmation of a Hillary run in 2016. Rightie claims the Clintons don't like the Obama's very much. You know, the whole "Shame on you Barack Obama" thing. If that's true, the Clinton's are Super Patriots, or they have alterior motives. This is a great oppoutunity for Mr. Clinton to officially blend back into the party in somewhat of a leadership role. Mrs. Clinton deserves a break and, as much as I'm sure she'll enjoy some time off, maybe write a book or two, she'll be bored after that first year. Why not run for President.
Bad news either way, Rightie.
