I see a little friction developing over whether former governor Sarah Palin should speak at the Republican National Convention. I say, "Let her speak!" Let her bring down the house with that history lesson of hers about how Paul Revere did that midnight ride of his to keep the Brits from taking away our guns.
I say, "Let 'em all speak!"
Let's get U.S. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann up there to launch her crusade against "anti-American" Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives and those Muslim Brotherhood agents in the office of the Secretary of State.
And let's not limit this.
Newt deserves a turn. He can remind us how women shouldn't serve in combat, unlike men who he says are natural fighters because we have a God-made urge to go out and hunt giraffes.
And how about having Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert, Iowa Congressman Steve King, and Donald Trump give another chorus of the latest "birther" theories?
And Allen West, who says there are 78 to 81 Communists among the Democrats in Congress.
And Sharron Angle to explain how we can use "Second Amendment remedies" if we don't like what the other speakers have to say.
And Christine O'Donnell, to deny the "witch" charge.
And what about those other folks on the right? Let's hear Frank Gaffney explain why the government is infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, starting with the people around George W. Bush. And Glenn Beck to call the President a "racist" again. And Rick Santorum to say again that Mitt Romney is "the worst Republican in the country" to run against Obama. And Rush, the underwater walrus, to do that dance of his.
And when all these voices are serenading us from every corner of Tampa, when the country can hear all the crazy cacophony of the right, when they can hear the loud screeching of bedlam on primetime, they will know what awaits them should this election take their turn.
And what could we call this symphony of the absurd? How about "Caveat Emptor"? Let the buyer beware, because this is the bedlam that could, just five months from now, be ruling the republic.

It might be better to have psychiatrists do the commentating after each speaks their rant....
Ha Ha Ha! On one hand they might start to diagnose these Republicans with varying levels of psychosis, on the other hand the Pharma companies would probably start releasing a whole new batch of anti-psychotics specifically aimed at the Fox/Limbaugh crowd (which might drag our economy out of the dumps)! Hi Chris I follow and love you show. Could you please comment on the primary results in Kansas. We're a red state, and we just got little redder! I think the name of the state should be changed to Kochistan, or land of Koch Bros. Inc. I knew I lived in the wilderness, but this is wilderness for the Democrates and moderate Republicans where weak, poor, young, and old need to really worry. Please help us out here, in the land Kochistan.

Chris, i keep reading hoping and looking for some objectivity from you...but almost all your stories are one sided....i never hear you talk about how unfriendly Obama is to job creation...at a time where so many could be working. Instead, they are losing their life savings, their houses, relocating their families from schools and towns they've lived in for years, devastated....and all you and the others at MSNBC do is talk about everything else except for whats most important to the country...jobs! Instead, lets talk about the ever so important issue of which few republicans will hurt the party at the convention. We all know its the republicans that corner this market...there certainly arent any dems that would lay an egg at the democratic convention. The more we talk about all these other things, the less we have to talk about how many are unemployed and suffering...why we arent doing ABSOLUTELY everything to help incentivise job creation. Thats good for the Dems. It's awfully easy for you and others who have nice sustainable jobs to imply there are other issues more important....there isnt. Lets fix the job situation...then tackle the others! You want people to live above poverty...you want people to have a little money in their pocket...give them the opportunity to work! We all want to work and make a contribution, provide for our families. Why dont those that advocate higher taxes for all of us, give up their job and savings....see how they fair. And then come to us and tell us that job creation isnt as important as the other topics you're promoting. People who are as wealthy as you CAN AFFORD to say whatever they want....because it doesnt matter what tax rate you pay, your "quality of life" doesnt change a bit. Lets see those who have money and advocate higher taxes for the middle class give up a % that actually changes the quality of life for them and their family. You know...give enough of your income so you have to decide your child cant get a tutor when they need it or go on a family vacation. This is what the middle class has to do because the difference in the tax rate hike you endorse makes a difference in our quality of life....not yours. When you have to give up tutoring lessons or a family vacation, I'll listen to what you have to say...until then, you dont fool me.
It's really too bad you don't listen. Obama saved the auto industry and 1.1 million jobs. He has created 4.5 million jobs. The Republican Congress has filibustered his jobs plan 19 times in a row over the last two years and the Republican Governors have fred 650,000 government employees.
You are listening to Fox and Limbaugh but not listening to Chris. If you want to Chris to repeat the lies of the right you are going to have to wait a long time.
The Republicans promised jobs in 2010 but two years before that they promised to make Obama a one term President and that meant refusing to vote for everything he proposed. So when they say his economic plan has failed it is a lie because they have refused to pass his economic plan. You can either choose to listen to real news or continue to listen to fake Fox news. it is up to you.
